Our Story

We want to inform you that this 2025 season will be our last, and we are not going to be opening in Spring 2026 or beyond.

We are deeply grateful for 6 Springs together in this latest iteration of Knupper’s and want to thank you for your support over the years!

We will be wrapping things up at the end of this month with our usual end-of-season sale. Be on the lookout for additional e-mails with all of our end-of-season sale info. If you have any unused gift cards, please use them while you are still able to.

And be sure to stop in a time (or two or three) before the end of June, as we’d love to talk plants one last time.

Since 1930, Knupper’s has been a Palatine destination for green thumbs. In the 1960s, the Knupper family sold the business to their son-in-law John Heaton. In 2018, the business was sold to a new family: the Napleton’s.

In 2019, Knupper’s Flower & Garden evolved into a seasonal garden center. With a fresh new look and layout, our customers and community were excited to welcome us back. In spring 2022, our location moved just down the road as we again open our seasonal store, still bringing the best of spring to gardeners in the Northwest suburbs and beyond. At Knupper’s Flower & Garden, you’ll always find high quality plants with friendly, familiar faces willing to lend a hand in its historic location along Rand Road.

Knupper’s Flower & Garden is open annually from April - June.
